Joes Run - 2017

joes-run-parrot-hat-web.jpgA little rain didn't stop hundreds of participants at the 20th annual Joe's Run in Fort Worth on Saturday, June 3. The annual 5K/10K event, described as "Fort Worth's favorite race," took place at Magnolia on the Green Park in Fort Worth.

Race participants had the option of running or walking the event, which was followed by live music, tasty margaritas and delicious sliders. A number of Colonial employees attended the event, both as race participants and volunteers.

Colonial's booth was the talk of the after-party, due in part to the giveaways that included beach balls, wacky pencils and the now famous "parrot hat." Men, women and children crowded shoulder to shoulder around the Colonial booth for a chance to receive the one of the limited number of parrot hats brought by Colonial's marketing team.

All race proceeds benefitted Fort Worth's Samaritan House, whose mission is "to create a supportive community providing housing and resources for positive change in the lives of persons living with HIV/AIDS and other special needs."
