Relentless Racing Enjoys Another Year of Success

Colonial-Sponsored multisport racing team, Relentless Racing, continues to make quite a name for itself both locally and across the United States. The Fort Worth-based team competes in events across the Country including 5k and 10k races, triathlons, Ironman races, marathons, trail runs and more.

After getting off to a hot start at the beginning of the 2017 racing season, which traditionally runs from February through November, the Relentless Racing team continued to shine throughout the fall and into winter.

Relentless Racing team members Cyril Russell, Jason Bahamundi and Alison Miller were even featured in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Sports Day newspapers, respectively. Their recent accomplishments were celebrated as they continue to train and perform at a high level.

One of the reasons for their continued success was the addition of professional triathlete Lauren Brandon. Brandon placed in the top 10 in a number of races on the professional racing circuit, highlighted by outstanding showings at the World Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee and the Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

The Ironman World Championships is one of the world's most grueling races, consisting of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon 26.22-mile run.

Brandon was co-leader out of the water at Ironman World Championship and was out in front early on during the cycling stage, all while Colonial's logo was visible on her racing uniform.

Relentless Racing staples and husband-and-wife duo Brian and Ali Miller continued their great year of racing at the tail end of the 2017 season. They both enjoyed strong finishes at a number of high-profile races including the Ironman World Championship, where Alison finished 17th in her group.

After her strong finish in Hawaii, Ali won the overall female title at Fort Worth's Friends of the River Bash on October 26.

Relentless Racing also added seasoned racers Bob Kilinski and Jason Bahamuni to the team, who both enjoyed great finishes at Ironman races in Florida and Maryland, respectively.

Congratulations to the entire Relentless Racing team on another year of hard-work and strong finishes. We can't wait for you all to hit the ground running, swimming and cycling at the start of the 2018 season in February! BRIAN-ALI-RELENTLESS.jpg
