Greater security of online purchasing
Once you activate your Visa Credit Card, you'll be asked to also activate Verified by Visa, Colonial's free password protection service. It only takes a minute, but it's a great way to ensure that you're the only one who can use your card. Look for the Verified by Visa symbol whenever you shop online and enjoy added protection and security, compliments of Colonial.
Once you've registered and created a Mastercard® SecureCode, each time you make an online purchase, a window will pop up asking for your Mastercard® SecureCode, just like using a PIN at the ATM. When you correctly enter your Mastercard® SecureCode, your card issuer confirms that you are the authorized cardholder and your purchase is completed. No code, no confirmation, no purchase.
